Mechanical Engineer (Solar)

Design and optimize mechanical components and systems for solar energy projects, including solar panels, mounting structures, tracking systems, and balance of system (BOS) components.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly within overall system architectures.
Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to evaluate mechanical design concepts, considering factors such as structural integrity, durability, thermal management, and manufacturability.
Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOM) for mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to source materials and components for mechanical systems, considering cost, quality, and lead time constraints.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy or solar power systems.
Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes, with an emphasis on structural analysis and thermal management.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to solar energy systems (e.g., NEC, ASCE, ASTM).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.
