Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and execution of all pastry items, including desserts, cakes, pastries, and breads.
- Support the Pastry Sous Chef in menu development and recipe creation.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Supervise and train junior pastry staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and procedures.
- Ensure proper presentation and plating of all pastry items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory and assist in ordering ingredients as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Junior Sous Chef Pastry in a professional kitchen or luxury hotels.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Passion for creating innovative and high-quality pastries.
