As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll work within a developer-centric platform engineering team, improving developer experience and accelerating value delivery. Collaborating with multiple technology teams, you’ll help build a high-performing platform while embracing Agile practices and Youi’s core values of service, innovation, and collaboration. Ways of working This position can be located at our headquarters on the Sunshine Coast, or at our offices in Fortitude Valley. We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday on location, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Key priorities
- Manage & Monitor Cloud Infrastructure – Ensure availability, reliability, security, and performance of platform-level applications.
- Incident Prevention & Response – Proactively minimize incidents, document manual actions for automation, and resolve issues within SLAs.
- Collaboration & Support – Work with Platform, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams to optimize monitoring, CI/CD, IaC, and reliability best practices.
- Automation & Modernization – Design and implement scalable cloud solutions, promote Chaos Engineering, and enhance deployment strategies.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing – Maintain clear documentation for self-service use and contribute to platform priorities.
- Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) – Adhere to WHS policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proven SRE experience with a cloud-native focus.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and related services.
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, Kubernetes, and serverless computing.
- Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, DataDog, Splunk).
- Proficiency in Linux CLI tools (Git, Docker) and scripting (Python, Bash, Ruby).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in cloud environments.
