About the Role We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead transport infrastructure projects across Sydney and Regional NSW. This role will focus on managing complex and challenging projects, ensuring project delivery aligns with its objective, scope, quality, budget and timeline. You’ll play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to achieve successful project delivery outcomes. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Coordinate and administer design and construction activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, work briefs and specifications.
  • Establish sound people management skills by managing work and performance of your team and subcontractors to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Manage contractual and commercial activities required for the success of the project. This will include management of the head contract and leading a team to administer all subcontracts and supplier relationships, financial administration, claims management and management reporting.
  • Manage stakeholder and interface coordination while ensuring process success.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, rail safety laws, quality, and environmental plans.
  • Ensuring contractual obligations are met and the scope of works delivered on time and within budget.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Abergeldie’s policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedure.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Proven Project Management experience within transport infrastructure. Previous experience in the rail industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to manage remote and multiple project sites and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in contract management and preparation of commercial documentation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel and work remotely in Regional NSW (LAFHA provided).
  • Excellent financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  • Building and leading a high performing project delivery team.
