Job Summary: The Trichologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with various hair and scalp disorders. This includes conducting thorough consultations, performing diagnostic tests, developing personalized treatment plans, and educating patients on proper hair care practices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in trichology. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to assess their hair and scalp concerns, medical history, and lifestyle factors.
- Perform thorough examinations of the hair and scalp, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques such as trichoscopy, pull tests, and microscopic analysis.
- Diagnose various hair and scalp conditions, including hair loss, dandruff, scalp psoriasis, and other dermatological issues affecting the hair.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis, needs, and preferences. This may include recommending topical treatments, oral medications, nutritional supplements, and/or lifestyle modifications.
- Administer or recommend appropriate treatments, such as mesotherapy, PRP therapy, laser therapy, or other advanced hair restoration procedures (where licensed and qualified).
- Educate patients on proper hair care practices, including washing, styling, and product selection.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including consultation notes, diagnostic findings, and treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and advancements in trichology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as dermatologists and nutritionists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in marketing and outreach activities to promote the clinic's trichology services.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards.
- Certification in Trichology and MD in Dermatology with a valid Maharashtra Medical Council Registration.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Trichologist.
- Experience with diagnostic tools like TrichoScope and hair analysis.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various hair and scalp conditions.
- Strong understanding of hair biology, physiology, and pathology.
- Proficiency in performing trichological diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Knowledge of various treatment modalities for hair and scalp disorders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
