Maintenance Engineer, Dublin

Elis is an international textile, hygiene & facilities services business, operating in 30 countries across the globe, delivering a complete textile rental and laundry service. We offer everything from workwear to mats, mops, bed and bath linen, hygiene supplies and pest control services. The Role: The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance of all commercial laundry equipment. The maintenance engineer will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and efficient mechanical/electrical running of the production facility. They will provide support in relation to all maintenance tasks and projects being undertaken, including day-to-day breakdown, PPM, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades. The position requires shift work with the pattern being plant-specific and on-call work to provide cover for emergency breakdowns and shutdown periods. Responsibilities

1. To carry out preventative maintenance on all equipment ensuring they are kept to high standard and provide reactive maintenance to all plant equipment.
2. To work closely with production management to ensure all maintenance work is prioritised correctly and carried out in a timely manner.
3. To ensure that all breakdowns are resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
4. Maintain maintenance paperwork and ensure all documentation is up to date and accurate.
5. To ensure that as part of the Engineering team, always look to improve equipment performance, reliability, and running costs for replacement parts and consumables.
6. To undertake repairs to equipment in a safe and timely manner ensuring that Production is constantly updated on progress.
7. To undertake remedial engineering works to equipment or site as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
8. To ensure any risks of safety or failure of equipment or site are communicated to the Manager.
9. To work with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager to ensure that contractors are working safely on site and adhering to site Health and Safety rules and procedures.
10. To report any incidents, accidents and near misses in accordance with Health and Safety Policies.
11. To ensure that safe systems of work and best practice procedures are adhered to.
12. To ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.
13. To ensure the Company's disciplines, rules and standards are maintained.
14. To ensure the company assets are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency.
15. To maintain excellent communication between Production staff and co-workers.
16. To maintain knowledge of all spare parts on site for plant.
17. To work within the procedures and standards as determined by the company's written standards.
18. Identifying, sourcing and the replenishment of spares.
19. Coordinate and supervise contract labour that may be on site.

1. Excellent PLC skills including fault finding and program adjustments.
2. Equipment/Electrical Services/Projects.
3. Troubleshooting electrical reactive works.
4. Instrumentation/pneumatic, and mechanical experience.
5. Steam Boilers/Fire/Intruder/Sprinkler systems.
6. Air compressors.
7. Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff and work as part of a team.
8. High attention to detail.
