Post Summary This exciting Research Assistant/Research Fellow opportunity will appeal to individuals with an interest in women’s health and/or co-creation methodologies. We are seeking a Research Assistant/Research Fellow to work with the TCD CARAMEL Team, engaging with women about their menopause experiences and co-creating ways to support their cardiovascular health. Women’s cardiovascular health is an urgent clinical unmet need as reported by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). Cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in women tends to be underestimated by clinicians and women themselves, particularly in the 40-60 years age group, where personalised risk assessment and prevention can positively impact health. In response to this, the EU Commission’s Horizon Project ‘CARAMEL’ will deliver an innovative co-created personalised prevention CARAMEL Application (App), aimed at women aged 40-60 experiencing menopause. TCD will coordinate a mixed methods study (CARAMEL-WOMEN) focusing on the co-creation of the CARAMEL App, involving engagement through anonymous surveys and interviews, and co-creation activities with women, including those with Intellectual Disability (ID). TCD will ensure that sex and gender dimensions are integrated into all research activities conducted by the consortium, providing training in sex and gender-relevant research principles at the start of the project and throughout its duration. We are seeking to recruit a Research Assistant/Research Fellow to support the delivery of these TCD-led work packages and tasks. This post is offered on a full-time basis and will start immediately, appealing to anyone wishing to develop their research career and profile. The salary is commensurate with the IUA scale for Research Assistant or Research Fellow. The post will primarily be based in the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin, with potential travel to data collection sites. The post holder will be part of the Trinity Centres for Practice and Health Innovation (TCPHI) Ageing & Intellectual Disability (TCAID) and Maternity Care Research (TCMCR) and will receive necessary training, guidance, and support. Application Procedure Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
