The Daily Maverick is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Ad Ops Administrator to join our team. Your mission? To handle the seamless management of advertising campaigns, from loading and monitoring to reporting and client communication. You’ll be working with tools like Google Ad Manager, Sailthru, and Excel, creating tracking sheets, optimizing campaigns, and delivering post-campaign reports. A knack for meeting deadlines and juggling multiple tasks—like managing calendars, chasing campaign assets, and making client recommendations—is essential. Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a media sales environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent undergraduate degree) in Administration or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software and IT tools.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft and Google Suite.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Advertising Operations
  • Loading of advertising campaigns in Google Ad Manager and Sailthru
  • Monitoring of campaigns (ensure that they are delivering correctly)
  • Pulling reports for the sales execs
  • Assisting with Momently post campaign reports for sales execs
  • Preparing Excel tracking sheets for clients
  • Assist with booking campaigns in the calendar and monitoring the calendar
  • Report on campaign performance in the weekly sales meeting
Trade Exchange Management
  • Preparing trade exchange agreements for clients.
  • Ensure regular meetings with the client to discuss campaign delivery (sometimes this can happen over email) but Video Calls or in person meetings are preferable.
  • Respond to client emails and enquiries.
  • Prepare campaign proposals for clients (in conjunction with the person responsible for ‘selling’ the trade exchange, to the agreed value of the trade & based on their objectives).
  • Liaising with creatives/campaign assets and communicating deadlines with clients.
  • Ensuring full use of the inventory owed to the trade exchange client.
  • Campaign management: booking inventory, loading campaigns, monitoring campaigns (newsletters, section and homepage takeover bookings).
  • Making recommendations for campaign optimization.
  • Monthly reporting on trade exchange balances to clients.
Reporting & Other Tasks
  • Sponsored Content Reporting (using Momently).
  • Trade Exchanges post-campaign reports (update each client’s tracking sheet).
  • Assistance with sales reps post-campaign reporting.
  • Quarterly Review Reporting & Presentations.
  • Weekly Sales Meeting input and update.
