ABOUT THE ROLE - The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial processes, ensuring compliance, and assisting in financial planning, budgeting, and day-to-day financial operations to ensure the organization’s fiscal health. RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze job ledger reports, aging reports to the management on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and analyze job ledger reports to Project Managers on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and analyze the LPO register and the waiting on bills to procurement on a monthly basis.
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Support in developing financial strategies to achieve business goals.
Month End Closing:
  • Prepare and post stock out, deferral, depreciation entries on Sage.
  • Month end payroll, end of service, gratuity and employee deduction entries processing on Sage.
  • Reconciliation of inter-companies on a monthly basis.
Accounts Management:
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions of all companies.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Tax and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage tax filings.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and advise the organization accordingly.
Audit Support:
  • Coordinate and assist with audits.
  • Ensure audit requirements are met in a timely and organized manner.
System and Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement improvements.
Team Management:
  • Supervise and mentor the junior accounting staff.
  • Provide guidance and support for their professional development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or ACCA certification is a plus).
  • Number of years of Experience: 10-15 years’ experience in accounting and financial management in the events, exhibition, or hospitality industry.
  • Technical Skills: Expert level proficiency in Excel and accounting software is a must.
  • Behavioral Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail and accuracy, able to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
