Information Technology Support Engineer

My client based in Co Kildare is currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join a growing team. The IT Support Engineer will report to the IT Infrastructure & Network Manager and deliver high-quality technical support to approximately 250 end users across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide IT Helpdesk support to approximately 250 users, managing:
- Microsoft 365
- WAN/LAN networks
- Firewalls
- VMWare and Windows Server
- Windows 10/11 deployment and support
- OS and software updates/patching
- Various business applications
- Ensure IT security best practices are implemented and maintained throughout the network.
- Maintain and support both local and wide area networks.
- Assist in updating and testing the organization's Business Continuity Plan as required.
- Offer out-of-hours support and travel between locations as needed.
- Follow procurement policies when acquiring hardware and software.
- Research, recommend, and implement IT solutions as necessary.
Experience Required
- 1–2 years’ experience in an IT support or technician role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with solid technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Experience managing and supporting LAN/WAN networks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understands user needs and adapts communication style to meet those needs.
- Maintains a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Consistently delivers high-quality service and support.
- Actively seeks feedback to identify improvement areas and fill knowledge gaps.
- Takes advantage of internal resources to deepen role-specific and organizational knowledge.

Educational Requirements
