Broad Band: M11: Experienced professional 2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Oversee and manage a team of geologists. Contribute to the early-stage exploration operational goals to deliver resources in core commodities and to fulfil Exploration & Resource Development (ERD) strategy. 3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and MSc Degree (or PhD preferable) in relevant Geoscience discipline from an accredited institution
- Experience in target generation & grassroots exploration
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration or development or greenfield targeting teams, from generative grassroots work through drill-testing and resource conversion campaigns.
- Strong multi-commodity and multi-jurisdiction geoscience targeting background, experienced with the geological manifestations of Cu, Ni, Zn, Li, Ag, Au, and REE systems in the Archean Crust.
- Comprehensive understanding of the mineral discovery challenge, specifically under covered terrain, mineral deposit geology, and mineral system fundamentals.
- Demonstrated project management organization skills, including creating and implementing strategy, construction of a work plan and management of a budget, and team leadership.
- Range of exploration terrains or belts (at least 2) and significant knowledge of at least 2 commodities, understanding a further 2 or more significant depth of knowledge in single commodity or exploration process.
- At least 2 or 3 major classes of mineralization, experience Porphyry Cu-Au and Magmatic Ni-Cu systems.
- Full range of exploration methods and processes known, chooses the most effective.
- Knowledge of several deposits from extensive field visits or minesite secondments.
- > 15 years of experience in geology within the mining industry, with >3 years of experience across management roles.
- Familiarity with KSA mining, minerals, and exploration sector.
- Experience leading and executing field operations, including logistics preparations with high-standard and non-compromise safety requirements.
- Experience and highly skilled in field analysis, mapping, sampling, documentation, mentoring, and reporting.
- Experience in identifying and analyzing geoscientific and geophysics datasets across various scales.
- Experienced in presenting mineral projects clearly and compellingly to different audiences, including non-technical ones.
- Experience in team management, goal, objective, and time management.
- Strong project management skills to manage numerous early-stage NM exploration sites & supervise licensing process.
- Solid analytical skills to assess project feasibility.
- Excellent negotiation skills to ensure buy-in of government officials.
- Extensive knowledge of JORC and N143-401 standards for mineral sampling.
- Broad experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC).
- Exceptional technical skills across geosciences & deep expertise in explorational analyses.
- Strong communication skills to ensure strategy understanding throughout the organization.
- Expertise in early exploration-related positions.
- Become a safety advocate - anywhere and everywhere and foster safety culture across team members.
- Extensive hands-on GIS experience (Preferably Arcpro).
- Extensive 3D modelling experience (preferably Leapfrog).
- Demonstrated excellent technical written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
- Develop and execute comprehensive ERD exploration plans and strategies to identify and evaluate potential mineral deposits. Conduct thorough geological assessments and surveys to define exploration targets and prioritize areas for further investigation.
- Lead ERD field exploration activities, including geological mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys, and drilling operations. Ensure ERD adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards during all exploration activities.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret geological data from various sources, including drill core samples, geophysical data, and remote sensing imagery. Utilize advanced geological software tools and techniques to identify geological patterns, mineralization trends, and potential deposit extensions.
- Monitor ERD early-stage exploration budgets and report budget status to prevent overspending and underspending.
- Manage, monitor, and assess ERD early-stage exploration KPIs (drill targets, new resources, etc.).
- Co-generate with other professionals high-quality exploration targets based on geological and geophysical data analysis. Evaluate the prospectivity and economic potential of target areas through detailed geological modeling, resource estimation, and risk assessments.
- Oversee, prepare, and provide accurate and timely early-stage ERD exploration operations reports to relevant internal and external parties and stakeholders as required.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of geologists and exploration professionals. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, skills development, and professional growth. Encourage teamwork and collaboration across disciplines.
- Promote a Safety First culture in early-stage NM exploration operations team and implement the Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) management system to ensure team members fulfill standard EHSS processes and operating procedures.
- Drive automation, new technologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization, advanced analytics, and data-driven optimization to streamline early-stage NM exploration operations.
