  1. An educational degree, such as Bachelor’s in Education Degree or related field.
  2. A certified teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS with an Induction Certificate or equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
  3. Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies.
  4. Establish high expectations of team members and students and set challenging targets for each of them to achieve.
  5. Ensure that systems and procedures are in place to enable the effective and consistent progression of all students within the cohort.
  6. Promote approaches to learning and teaching that engage and motivate students and demand their active participation.
  7. Strengthen learning and teaching through a programme of professional development and practical support.
