Setting Out Engineer Civil Engineering - County Meath Location : County Meath, Ireland Contract : Full-Time, Permanent Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated Setting Out Engineer to join our team in County Meath. This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site role where the Setting Out Engineer will play a key part in the successful execution of civil engineering projects. The role involves the day-to-day setting out and surveying activities for construction sites located in North Meath and South Monaghan. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working with a main contractor or Groundworks Sub-Contractor on fast-paced civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities

1. Carry out setting out of works as per project plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
2. Survey and measure the site, producing detailed reports and updating site drawings as required.
3. Liaise with site managers, foremen, and other engineering staff to coordinate work and ensure smooth progress on-site.
4. Interpret and implement design drawings and specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
5. Provide technical support and advice to the site team, ensuring that all works meet required standards and specifications.
6. Assist in the management of quality control and health & safety compliance on site.
7. Ensure that all surveying and setting out work is completed to the highest standards and within project deadlines.
8. Maintain accurate records of site activities, including any changes to original plans.
9. Liaise with subcontractors to ensure work is carried out to the required specifications.

1. Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment and setting out tools (Total Stations, GPS, etc.).
2. Strong understanding of construction plans, technical drawings, and site layouts.
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to adjust to changing site conditions.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
5. At least 3 years of experience in a similar setting out or engineering role, preferably within civil engineering or groundworks projects.
6. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance on site.
7. A proactive approach to site issues and a commitment to high-quality standards.

1. Valid Safe Pass Card.
2. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
3. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
