Retail Operations Manager E. Commerce Job Description Our client, a reputable e-commerce company offering online fashion and household shopping experience, is currently seeking a Retail Operations Manager. Role Purpose: The role of the Retail Operations Manager is to:
- Oversee the activities of the Operations Associates.
- Ensure e-Retailers are on-boarded swiftly once legal documentation is completed.
- Drive counterparts with regular follow-ups to obtain the necessary information for the upload in a timely manner.
- Ensure that e-stores are created swiftly once legal documentation is completed.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of contents (product descriptions, product measurements such as weight and dimension, photos, videos, pricing, quantity, etc.) in order to encourage buying.
- Develop a training pack and schedule to train e-Retailers on the ‘Retail Central tool’ so they are fully comfortable with inventory management and order fulfillment.
- In collaboration with the Operations director, ensure the availability of the right product mix and inventory level at the time of on-boarding.
- Manage third-party service providers and introduce them to e-Retailers.
- Create a benchmark for the turnaround of different categories.
- Lead the Operations Associates in retrieving accurate and necessary product descriptions for different categories.
- Conduct research on reputable local and international sites to keep up-to-date and have a better understanding of required standards.
- Educate Operations Associates on different aspects of retailing considering the priorities of each industry.
- Schedule regular bi-monthly catch-ups with e-Retailers during the first 3 months to assist them during the first uploads and tackle any potential problems.
- Organize an e-Retailer calendar to meet, conduct refresher sessions, and train on new features and functionalities.
- Be the first point of contact for the customer service team as e-Retailers raise queries on the Retail Central.
- Manage the Operations Associates, set individual goals, provide direction to them, monitor and review performance on a monthly basis to ensure targets are achieved and corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with different internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Technology to ensure targets are achieved or exceeded.
