Job Summary

The work involves some of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in the marketplace. The team advises clients on a wide variety of high-profile UAE and regional real estate investment, development, and finance transactions. Additionally, our hospitality work covers a comprehensive range of legal services including advising national and international hotel owners, operators, and franchisors in the acquisition, development, finance, management, and branding of hotel properties and serviced apartments.

Key Responsibilities

We require applicants who possess the following attributes: Technical Excellence

Excellent knowledge of property law and the real estate industry
Effectively applies legal principles to a range of complex problems
Drafts structurally consistent and clear legal documents
Actively develops sector legal knowledge
Identifies opportunities for knowledge sharing
Drafts articles and publications
Organised and structured approach to tasks to ensure matters are progressed

People and Team

Proactively and willingly supports team members
Responds positively to changing working environments
Awareness of own development needs and seeks solutions
Effectively manages junior associates, paralegals, and secretarial resources

Finance and Practice Management

Effectively prioritises tasks and competing demands
Proactively manages matters to drive them forward

Personal Effectiveness

Ability to manage own case load
Track record of leading on transactions
Track record of business development
Excellent client-facing and meeting skills
Confidence and enthusiasm in interactions through a range of communication methods
Use of influence and persuasion positively
Effective decision making and sound problem-solving skills

Candidate Requirements

Strong academic background and training from a recognised international firm/practice
At least 6+ years’ Real Estate experience gained at a reputable law firm. Hospitality experience would be advantageous.
An ability and willingness to work on both contentious and non-contentious matters is essential.
Confidence and enthusiasm in interactions
A real interest in marketing/business development and the ability to foster long-term relationships
A willingness to assume responsibility and take a pro-active and commercial approach to issues
Ability to work in a team and autonomously
Driven, enthusiastic, and flexible team player
Flexible to travel within the region
