We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of FMCG Retail Operations to oversee and manage our FMCG retail business. This leadership role is critical in driving sales growth, revenue, and profitability while ensuring the effective management of sales operations, marketing, trade marketing, category acquisition, and business development. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning departmental functions to achieve unified business objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed company targets.
  • Oversee the CPD and Chilled divisions, managing teams including trade channel managers, van salesmen, merchandisers, and promoters.
  • Lead Business Development Managers in private label and brand acquisitions, business growth, and trade marketing initiatives in collaboration with suppliers for both franchise and own brands.
  • Represent the business unit in lead team meetings and cultivate strong relationships with new and existing suppliers to drive partnerships and expansion.
  • Build and maintain key account relationships with suppliers and principals, identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Optimize departmental structures to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment towards shared company goals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, ensuring budgetary compliance and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement impactful marketing strategies, including trade marketing campaigns, advertising initiatives, and in-store promotions to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Identify new product categories, conduct comprehensive market research, and establish competitive pricing strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in FMCG retail, with a proven track record in sales, marketing, and business development.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
  • Experience in category management, trade marketing, and private label development.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to monitor market trends and sales data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
