About the Role: Lead BO Developer Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP BusinessObjects (BO) reports and dashboards.
- Develop and maintain BO Universes using IDT/UDT to support business reporting needs.
- Write complex SQL queries and optimize them for performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and provide best-fit BO solutions.
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of BO reports, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement security, row-level access, and governance policies for BO reports and Universes.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data inconsistencies, performance, and report rendering.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Work closely with data engineering and BI teams to ensure seamless data integration.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects development and reporting.
- Strong expertise in BO Universe Design (IDT/UDT), Web Intelligence (WebI), and Crystal Reports.
- Proficiency in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, and database tuning).
- Experience with BO Administration, including server configuration, security setup, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting performance issues and fine-tuning reports.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with business users and technical teams.
- Experience in leading teams and mentoring junior developers.
- Exposure to SAP HANA, SAP BW, or other BI tools.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions and modern data platforms.
