Position Description We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Product and Proposition Manager to drive the development and growth of our EV charging products and services. In this role, you will manage our portfolio of charging solutions, ensuring that our offerings align with customer needs, market trends, and the fast-evolving electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. You will also be responsible for crafting compelling value propositions for both individual EV drivers and business clients (e.g., fleet operators), ensuring a seamless charging experience and boosting customer engagement. Key Responsibilities: 1.Product Strategy and Development: Lead the product lifecycle for our charging solutions, including destination, on-street and transit charging stations. Develop and manage a product roadmap that aligns with company goals, customer requirements, and evolving regulatory standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, technical design and IT to ensure successful product launches, update charging solutions, features (e.g., smart charging, dynamic pricing), and user interface improvements. 2.Proposition Development: Craft clear and compelling value propositions for different customer segments: EV drivers, fleet operators, businesses, and councils Develop bundled services (e.g., subscription models for charging, partnerships with EV manufacturers, or energy management solutions) to differentiate our products in the market. Define and communicate the benefits of additional features like charging network access, loyalty programs, or green energy sourcing in collaboration with the marketing team Work with the business development team to identify and nurture partnerships with automotive companies, energy providers, or public entities that can enhance the proposition and expand the customer base. Manage integration of third-party services like roaming networks, in-car apps, or fleet management systems. 3.Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to stay ahead of trends in EV adoption, charging technology advancements, and regulatory changes affecting CPOs. Analyze competitors' products, pricing, and go-to-market strategies to inform product development and pricing decisions. Use customer insights, feedback, and behavioral data to optimize the product and adjust propositions based on customer needs. 4.Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Partner with marketing and sales teams to design effective go-to-market strategies for new and existing charging products. Develop compelling messaging and positioning that highlights the distinct advantages of our charging solutions. Work closely with sales teams to create materials that help communicate the value of our products to different customers (B2C and B2B). Lead product launches, ensuring all stakeholders (operations, marketing, customer service) are aligned and prepared for successful rollouts. 5.Performance Tracking and Optimization: Monitor the performance of our charging products and propositions using key metrics (e.g., customer satisfaction, uptime, revenue per charge, utilization rates). Regularly gather and act on customer feedback to refine product features and improve the overall charging experience. Use data to track user behavior (e.g., charging frequency, peak usage times) to make informed product or pricing changes. Experience and Qualifications Essential Proven experience (7+ years) in product management, ideally within EV charging, renewable energy, mobility, or related technology sectors. Strong background in managing both hardware (e.g., charging stations) and software (e.g., apps, payment platforms) products. Experience with B2B and B2C customer segments and creating tailored propositions for each. Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform product decisions and optimize propositions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working cross-functionally Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance long-term strategy with quick product iteration. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and proficiency in data analysis of market dynamics, customer behavior, and pricing models. Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA or similar) is a plus. Desirable: Strong understanding of the EV charging ecosystem, including knowledge of charging technologies, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends Experience working in tech-driven, innovative industries. Familiarity with IoT, smart infrastructure, or energy management platforms. Location This role will be based at ES Customer Solutions, Swift Square, Northwood, Santry in line with ESB's Smart Working arrangements. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week.
