We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic English Teacher to join our thriving school community. As part of our academic team, you will inspire students with engaging instruction, foster a love for literature, and develop critical thinking and communication skills. You will play an essential role in helping students achieve academic excellence while fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Design & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lesson plans in English tailored to the needs of students at various levels, following both national and international curricula.
- Instruction: Provide high-quality instruction in English literature, language arts, grammar, and composition, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Assessment & Feedback: Use formative and summative assessment strategies to track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods to ensure continuous improvement.
- Student Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and independent learning.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow English department members and other staff members on cross-curricular projects and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Parental Communication: Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to keep up to date with best practices in teaching and English curriculum trends.
- Bachelor's degree in English Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- A teaching qualification or diploma in education (e.g., PGCE, teaching certification).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably within international or British curricula.
- Proven expertise in teaching English at the secondary school level, including language arts, literature, and writing.
- Strong knowledge of assessment strategies and the ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Proficiency in English (native or British English speakers preferred).
