The Role We’re looking for a skilled and creative Publicist to work across a portfolio of high-profile clients in the entertainment industry. Based in Sydney, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and ever-evolving media environment, has strong media relationships with entertainment, music and culture reporters, editors and producers, and knows how to cut through with stories that make an impact. Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute PR campaigns for leading entertainment brands and talent.
  2. Secure high-impact media coverage across print, digital, radio & audio, and television.
  3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers.
  4. Write compelling media materials, including press releases, media alerts, and pitches.
  5. Manage media opportunities, interviews, red carpets, and media events.
  6. Provide strategic PR advice to clients and contribute to campaign planning.
  7. Monitor media coverage, report on results, and continuously refine PR strategies.
About You
  1. 2+ years of experience in publicity or journalism, ideally within entertainment or lifestyle.
  2. Strong media contacts across entertainment, music and culture.
  3. A passion for storytelling and a knack for crafting angles that generate media buzz.
  4. Exceptional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-moving industry.
  6. Experience managing talent and coordinating media schedules.
  7. Comfortable working in a remote environment and adept at using tools like Slack, Google Workspace, and project management platforms.
