Our client is seeking a dynamic Head of Innovation and Product Development to join their leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company and contributing to their ongoing success as an Industry leader and pioneer. About the Role: As Head of Innovation and Product Development, you will spearhead innovative efforts, lead a talented team of professionals, and create a culture that fosters creativity and transformation. Your role will be pivotal in introducing change through new or improved products, services, and processes while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Innovation Leadership: Develop, implement, and continuously refine innovation strategy, aligning it with organisational goals.
- Market Insights: Monitor trends, identify new market opportunities, and address evolving user needs.
- Team Development: Leading and developing a team of Innovation, Product Development, Regulatory and Technical professionals.
- Strategic Oversight: Maintain an innovation portfolio and manage resources to deliver key objectives.
- Process Optimisation: Design and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of innovative initiatives.
- Collaboration: Build partnerships with academia, government, industry, and other key stakeholders.
- Workshops & Training: Convene themed workshops and implement training programs to nurture a culture of innovation.
- Proven experience as a Head of Innovation or similar role, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in innovation techniques and the ability to anticipate and adapt to market trends.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in business ERP systems and data analysis.
- A degree in Science, Chemistry, Medicinal Science, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
- High attention to detail, coupled with a drive for excellence and results.
