  • Database Management: Lead the design, development, and administration of databases, ensuring top-notch performance and security.
  • System Configuration: Configure and maintain database servers, actively monitoring system health to ensure optimal operation.
  • Real-Time Problem Solving: Tackle issues as they arise, providing comprehensive solutions to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement monitoring and maintenance strategies for databases, focusing on performance tuning and backup/recovery plans.
  • Migration Projects: Manage the transition of databases to a centralised corporate private cloud platform.
  • Technology Updates: Stay abreast of the latest in database technologies to support various IT initiatives, including low-code development platforms.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 4 years or above hands-on experience with enterprise databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and familiarity with DevOps tools like GitLab, Ansible, and Jenkins is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and spoken).
