Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze and estimate the costs of engineering projects and products and work closely with cross-functional teams to gather cost data, create models, and provide accurate estimates
- Getting RFQs from customers and converting them into business /PO.
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate design concepts.
- Participate in the process of tender/BQ for costing and submission of the same.
- Study RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination may include preparing engineering standards, designs, and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, etc.
- Utilize cost methodologies, tools, and appropriate software models and provide expert knowledge in cost analysis, manufacturing processes, material/supplier comparison, etc.
- Work proactively towards cost target objectives and sourcing strategy in collaboration with Strategic Buyers, Category Managers, NPI Teams, and R&D.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the full-scope interaction with all internal and external stakeholders as required for the prototype.
- Listening to customers’ needs and advising them on the best products to buy.
- Monitor order intake & budgeted forecast.
- Assist customers with technical & commercial queries.
- Support presales activities, proposal generation, product position, solution offering, and responding to technical clarifications in the tender.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- A Mechanical Engineering bachelor's degree (B.Tech, M.Tech, or equivalent).
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Industrial Sales.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
- Proven experience in cost estimation and cost analysis
