The Sourcing Manager plays a key role in maintaining the company’s supply chain by ensuring that the organization always has access to the resources it needs to deliver. A Sourcing Manager has the responsibility for handling a company’s end-to-end sourcing operations for a category or categories by carrying out research, creating and executing strategy, defining quality and quantity metrics, and choosing suppliers that meet these criteria. Job Description:

  1. Planning and managing a company’s overall sourcing strategy.
  2. Researching to understand a company’s operational needs and requirements.
  3. Building relationships with vendors and key suppliers.
  4. Negotiating pricing and controlling costs.
  5. Executing analyses and making suggestions for improvement in sourcing strategy.
  6. Developing an annual budget based on sourcing needs.
  7. Writing sourcing documentation.
  8. Building and leveraging internal business partner relationships to create value-focused strategies that align with goals.
  9. Reviewing contracts.
  10. Proactively seeking business optimization and cost savings or new capability and developing data-driven business cases to support their initiatives.
  11. Staying current on industry and market trends and best practices.
Skills
  1. Contracting and negotiation / Risk management / Data analysis / Return on Investment evaluations.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Supply Chain, Business Administration.
  3. 9+ years of experience within procurement, operations, or relevant experience.
  4. Advanced Excel skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and Negotiation skills.
  6. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
