Job Description

  1. Inspection & Monitoring: Perform regular inspections and condition monitoring on rotating equipment, including pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, and related machinery. Utilize various inspection techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and visual inspections. Monitor equipment performance and identify deviations from standard operating conditions.
  2. Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and record inspection data, including vibration readings, temperature readings, and other operational parameters. Analyze data and prepare detailed reports highlighting potential issues, wear patterns, and recommendations for corrective actions. Track equipment history, maintenance schedules, and failure trends to optimize predictive maintenance efforts.
  3. Maintenance Support: Assist the maintenance team in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures. Support the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Recommend spare parts and necessary replacements based on inspection results.
  4. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all inspections and activities comply with safety regulations and best industry practices. Maintain and update maintenance records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to rotating equipment.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas where equipment reliability can be improved. Recommend upgrades, retrofits, or changes to maintenance procedures based on inspection findings.
  6. Collaboration & Reporting: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and quick resolution of issues. Provide feedback and input into maintenance planning and the creation of work orders.
Qualifications
  • BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • IRCA Lead Auditor Certificate ISO 9001:2015
  • At least 7 years experience in Quality Control Inspection specific to Rotating Equipment, Pumps specifically
  • Non-Metallic pipe experience is highly preferred
  • Preferably, to have experience in Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC)
  • Familiar with relevant standards, codes and regulations in pipelines and welding.
  • Ability to perform routine inspections on pipelines to identify and assess structural issues of the pipelines.
  • Monitoring site installation, repair and maintenance operations
  • Able to document all findings and producing detailed reports including making recommendations
