About The Role Chartered Accountants Ireland is at the start of a journey to introduce new applications to service its Students, Members, Firms and other users. This is part of a wider effort to improve and modernise user facing processes and internal ways of working. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of shaping the future as well as implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. We are looking for a Solution Architectto lead the design, implementation, and integration of our new technology stack.This is an exciting opportunity to own solution design and play a pivotal role in our transformation journey, which includes replacing core legacy systems with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and F&O, among other significant changes. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation including supplier, Project Management, Delivery (mostly external), QA and Operations teams to ensurethat our solutions align with our organisational goals and technical requirements. As a Solution Architect you will be a member of the Business Technology team and report to the Head of Strategy, Design and Delivery who in turn reports to the CIO. Requirements: Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in Design & Architecture, preferably with a background in Solution Delivery/Development. Proven track record in leading the design and implementation of large-scale enterprise applications. ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or earlier versions of Dynamics AX. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and F&O modules. Strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly Microsoft Azure. Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and API design. Technical Skills Experience across technology layers (database, backend, integration, UX etc). Strong understanding of network and security architecture. Knowledge of data integration patterns and best practices. Knowledge of data management, data analytics and business intelligence tools. Soft Skills Excellent communication and people skills. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Analytical mindset with superior problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with third-party service providers. Experience of agile development practices. An interest in emerging technologies and their application.
