Main Purpose Of Job The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting and financial regulations. This role involves analyzing complex financial records and reports, managing financial transactions, and providing guidance to junior accounting staff and support to Finance Manager. Essential Work Activities General

  1. Prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.
  2. Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
  3. Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations on a timely basis.
  5. Develop budgets and financial plans based on research and data reports.
  6. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  7. Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making.
  8. Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
  9. Assist with audit preparations and coordinate internal audits.
  10. Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.
Educational And Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. CPA or CMA certification preferred, but not required.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  7. Strong communication and leadership skills.
Skills
  1. Ability to analyze financial statements for discrepancies.
  2. Experience with budgeting and financial planning.
  3. Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
