Music Teacher

Responsibilities:

1. Lesson Planning & Instruction: Develop and deliver music lessons in areas such as music theory, vocal performance, instrumental techniques, music history, and composition. Tailor lessons to different age groups, abilities, and learning styles.
2. Classroom Management: Create a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation and creativity in musical activities.
3. Skill Development: Teach both practical skills (instrument proficiency, vocal technique) and theoretical knowledge (music notation, harmony, rhythm), when needed.
4. Performance Opportunities: Organize and direct student performances, including concerts, recitals, or community events. Encourage participation in school bands, choirs, orchestras, or other ensembles.
5. Collaboration: Work with other staff, including music colleagues, administrators, and parents, to ensure student success and integrate music education into the broader school curriculum.
6. Administrative Tasks: Maintain student records, lesson plans, and other necessary documentation. Follow school policies regarding attendance, grading, and communication with parents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Teaching Credential/License
