Location: Jeddah, Maddinah, Saudi Arabia Job ID: R0075858 Date Posted: 2025-02-10 Company Name: HITACHI ENERGY LTD Profession (Job Category): Engineering & Science Job Schedule: Full time Remote: No Job Description: You as a HVDC Service Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy based in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. You will provide first line support along with maintenance & repair services for the Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA). You will work closely with the existing Service Team to gain the competencies to provide 1st line support. Flexible working hours will also be required for significant maintenance tasks on an impromptu basis as required. There will also be a requirement to support the wider HVDC as and when required by the needs of the business. Your responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a safe working environment for all site employees & mitigate the risks.
  • Ensuring ethical behavior in line with code of conduct.
  • Managing Health Safety and Environmental risks associated with the business unit.
  • Being a part of the environment that allows all employees to develop and succeed.
  • Delivering exceptionally high availability to the entire HVDC system.
  • Controlling and performing work activities on HV/LV electrical, instrumentation and mechanical systems.
  • Maintaining the value and maximizing the design life of the system.
  • Maintaining a strong relationship with this valued customer.

Your background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in HV power systems or a heavy industrial environment.
  • Safety switching experience/Power plant operational experience/ General certificate in occupational health and safety/ IT / Cyber security experience.
  • Experience providing safety from the system and safe systems of work.
  • Maintenance / fault finding experience with UPS systems, Battery Chargers, Air Handling Units, Pumps, PLCs & Generators.
  • Driving license.
  • MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Fire detection and protection system awareness / maintenance experience.
  • Maintenance / fault finding experience with SCADA / PLCs and control systems.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English.
