- A proven track record as an Ice Cream Chef, Pastry Chef, or Gelato Specialist in a Luxury Hotel environment or Artisan ice cream brand.
- A Culinary or Pastry Degree or equivalent qualification from a Recognised Institution is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency and Strong Knowledge of ice cream production techniques, including Pasteurisation, Emulsification, and Stabiliser use.
- Understanding of Flavour Pairing, Ingredient Balancing, and Food Chemistry in Frozen Desserts.
- Extraordinary Creativity and Deep-Seated Passion for the culinary arts.
- Robust experience with Ice-Cream Making equipment and ability to Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP principles and practices, and a thorough understanding of Health and Safety Regulations.
- A Meticulous Eye for Detail.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A hands-on attitude, fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.
- Crafts and executes a Curated selection of Luxurious, hand-crafted Ice Creams and Frozen Desserts.
- Innovates with Bold flavour combinations and Premium ingredients.
- Develops Dairy and Non-Dairy alternatives, including exquisite Sorbets and artisan Vegan ice creams.
- Masterfully blends traditional Churning methods with Cutting-Edge techniques.
- Stays ahead of Industry Trends by exploring food innovations and Evolving flavour profiles.
- Provides insights and recommendations to Enhance the guest experience.
- Oversees the Freezing, Ageing, and Storage processes.
- Sources and selects only the Finest ingredients.
- Maintains Meticulous Portion Control and manages Ingredient Inventory.
- Collaborates with the Pastry and Culinary Teams.
- Adheres to Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
- Maintains a Clean and Organised workspace.
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
