Job Description / Role As Head of Interior Design, you will lead an interior design team dedicated to producing functionally beautiful spaces for clients. Use your delivery perspective to bring new approaches to design process and strategy, develop next-generation talent, and help our clients redefine their product and themselves. Developing overall interior design concepts, formulate design presentation strategies, and provide creative leadership to the interiors team through a variety of project types, this person will be a passionate design leader. Portfolio of this firm, although wide across Mixed use, Hospitality, Retail, Commercial and Residential, this role offers exposure to high end, large scale projects. Responsibilities :

Lead the creative interiors efforts on client projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies. This individual is key to managing existing client relationships and developing new ones.
Lead interior design efforts that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.
Advise on the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
Supervise the generation of finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts.
Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
Mentor and provide creative direction to interior design teams.
Act as the primary interior design interface with clients and consultants.
Collaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy.
Participate in business development and marketing efforts.

Role Of Communication

Communication with all company offices during the design and design development process.
Lead the communication process between company project managers and directors from one side and interior design team ensuring the quality of deliverables.
Communicate with design directors and project managers to define the list of interior design deliverables, this list should be committed by all parties.
Communication with all external project’s subconsultants, suppliers, contractors and specialists to meet the project requirements.
Communication with all company clients on project bases, knowing that it's prohibited to deal with clients outside company boundaries.
Communicate with all heads of department and design directors on a weekly basis to ensure the progress of the requested project’s tasks.
Long distance communication shall be established with all company interior design teams globally on daily and weekly bases.
All interior design team employees shall be reporting to the head of the interior department.
Meet with all clients virtually or physically through all company offices (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, etc.).

Team Development

Building the required teams to meet the project’s needs.
Meet, evaluate and assign the teams positions candidate.
Developing teams design, technical skills and shall provide them the required training, orientation sessions and external developing courses.
Recruit the required manpower ensuring the project’s quality and to meet schedules.
Prepare the manpower schedules, project timelines and resources allocation in collaboration with design director and design manager.
Assessment of all current interior design resources and prepare design team structure.
Responsible for all interior design teams in all company branches globally.
Responsible for the productivity of all design teams.

Quality Assurance

Review, approve and follow up all design drawings quality, information and drafting quality for all projects.
Review, approve and develop all concept designs generated by the design team from all company offices.
Quality of design meets the RIBA design framework as per client request.
Follow, retain and develop the CAD manual, REVIT libraries and all working libraries.
Ensure the ability of team to deliver projects with different software such as CAD, REVIT, MAX, Sketchup, etc.
Review, approve, follow up and build the coordination between different disciplines that interfere with the interior design work.
Review, comment and check the quality of design executed in project sites if needed.

Experience The desired candidate is required to have 15+ years of experience, including some experience working in Europe.
