Chief Civil Engineer - DOH01IN Primary Location: QAT-DW-Doha Responsibilities:

  1. Forecast requirements for civil/structural resources and allocate those resources to various projects and work assignments.
  2. Provide technical supervision of project designated civil/structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
Job Specific Knowledge:
  1. Thorough knowledge of applicable engineering design and construction civil/structural codes, standards, and best practices for both onshore and offshore.
  2. Knowledge of civil/structural detailing and the capability to develop construction-friendly and economic connection and support details.
  3. Experience in life extension assessment projects will be an advantage.
Industry Specific Experience:
  1. Extensive work experience as a Principal Engineer within the Oil & Gas industry.
  2. Proven experience leading a team of civil/structural discipline engineers and designers.
  3. Extensive technical, practical, and leadership experience in the civil/structural discipline in the same or similar industry.
  4. Experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
IT Skills:
  1. User of SACS and MS Office Suite of Software, STAAD Pro, and MathCAD.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
  2. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.
People Skills:
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required.
  2. Demonstrates enthusiasm, persistence, and tenacity.
  3. Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance.
  4. Able to work on multiple projects of various sizes and complexities.
  5. Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge within teams.
