The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to women at various stages of their reproductive lives. They diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system, perform surgeries, and provide prenatal and postnatal care. The OB/GYN also educates patients on women's health issues and family planning. Responsibilities

  1. Provide comprehensive medical care to women, including routine gynecological exams and screenings.
  2. Diagnose and treat conditions and diseases related to the female reproductive system.
  3. Perform surgeries, such as hysterectomy, cesarean section, and laparoscopy.
  4. Provide prenatal care and monitor the health of pregnant women.
  5. Attend deliveries and provide postnatal care to both mother and baby.
  6. Educate patients on women's health issues, including contraception, sexual health, and menopause.
  7. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as Pap smears, mammograms, and ultrasounds.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
  9. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  10. Stay updated with advancements in obstetrics and gynecology and participate in continuing medical education.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  2. Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  3. Valid medical license to practice.
  4. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  5. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an OB/GYN role.
  6. Strong clinical skills and ability to make critical decisions.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work in a patient-centered and culturally sensitive manner.
  9. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
