Waldorf Astoria The Palm Palm Jumeirah Road Crescent East Dubai Aa01 A Maintenance Manager with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is ultimately responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while repairing equipment and overseeing the maintenance team. What will I be doing As a Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems are in top operational condition. A Maintenance Manager is responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, performing maintenance checks, and overseeing the maintenance team to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Lead and oversee the daily engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless functionality of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, HVAC, and general infrastructure.
• Ensure all hotel areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house, and external property, are well maintained and meet the highest safety and operational standards.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
• Manage emergency maintenance requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and operational continuity.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure full compliance with local building codes, health & safety regulations, and fire safety standards.
• Develop and oversee emergency response procedures, including fire evacuation plans and lift emergency release protocols.
• Liaise with government and regulatory bodies to ensure all statutory requirements and inspections are met.
• Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols for both employees and guests.
• Develop and manage energy conservation programs to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
• Prepare, manage, and oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational maintenance budgets.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in hotel maintenance management, preferably in a luxury 5-star property.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with building automation systems and energy management.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and troubleshoot efficiently.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and hotel industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergencies when required.
• Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work under pressure

• Previous experience of facilities management
