Our Security Solutions Architecture and Design team is pivotal in driving our Cyber Security Transformation Programme. This team is responsible for delivering innovative cyber solutions architecture and designs. They work closely with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure that changes across Cyber are managed and controlled effectively, developing robust, secure, and resilient solutions to protect our customers' and colleagues' data and services. As a Cyber Lead Solutions Architect, you will be an integral part of this dynamic, high-performing team. You will be accountable for driving innovation and delivering solutions that align with our Cyber strategy, including the end-to-end design of solutions and platforms. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Crafting cyber architecture, solutions, and designs: Produce great artifacts that meet our business needs, align with our architecture strategy, and ensure security and deliverability.
- Identifying technology risks: Spot risks from new or existing technologies and raise them at the right level.
- Leading solutions delivery: Deliver solutions architects that embody our purpose: "Being a secure digital bank our customers can trust."
- Promoting platform reuse and enhancement: Drive the reuse and enhancement of our platforms and assets.
- Ensuring design adherence: Ensure our designs stick to platform and project commitments and meet our high standards.
- Evolving design practices: Play a key role in evolving our design practices, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with stakeholders: Work with Business, Enterprise Architecture, and Technology colleagues to evaluate design options and make solid recommendations.
- Hosting design forums and workshops: Run forums and workshops with developers, operational staff, and business colleagues, often involving third-party vendors.
- Providing specialist knowledge: Bring your expertise in Cyber solutions architecture and design to the table.
- Driving innovation and improvement: Enhance our delivery through innovation, continuous improvement, and automation to support change.
- Presenting to senior stakeholders: Present solutions, roadmaps, and other architectural artifacts to senior stakeholders across Technology Operations & Cyber Security teams and other CIO areas.
- Mentoring: Brining your experience and knowledge into the team and proving support and mentoring to others.
- Proven experience in a similar role: Demonstrate your ability to deliver effective cyber solutions.
- Experience with Cyber technologies: Work with a range of Cyber technologies, both on-prem and cloud.
- Expertise in solution architecture: Define robust solution architecture.
- Familiarity with Industry frameworks: Understand and apply the Security NIST framework and have experience delivering solutions based on industry best practice and regulated environments.
- Experience in various environments: Work in both waterfall and agile environments.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Build credibility with Business and Technology stakeholders in shaping solutions to business problems.
- Understanding of design governance: Apply design governance principles effectively.
- Experience in financial organizations: Deliver cyber solutions in a financial context.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust: Understand Zero Trust and modern identity-centric security architectures.
- Familiarity with Azure Cyber Security: Know Azure Cyber Security Architecture and development of solutions in Public cloud.
- Awareness of emerging threats: Be aware of threats like quantum computing and ransomware, and how to mitigate them.
