Planning & Environment Lawyer (2-4 years PQE) We are seeking a full-time or part-time motivated and talented lawyer with 2-4 years PQE in planning and environment or administrative law to join our firm practising in planning and environment law. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced practitioners in a collaborative and supportive environment, offering challenging and diverse work and opportunities for growth and development. Key responsibilities - Conducting legal research and analysis on planning, environment, and public law matters;
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including briefs, submissions, advices, covenants and agreements made under s 173 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 ;
- Assisting with the preparation and presentation of cases before courts and tribunals, including opportunities for advocacy;
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and industry networks;
- Contributing to team meetings, including discussions on cases and recent developments in the sector, collaborating on practice improvements and developing innovative legal solutions.
Qualifications and skills: The successful candidate will: - Be admitted as a lawyer in Australia with a minimum of 2 years PQE in planning and environment or administrative law;
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Be personable and bring a positive attitude to work;
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Be focused on assisting the firm deliver excellent client service;
- Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Be a team player who enjoys building relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service.
