Job details
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the provisions of the Act and any regulations made thereunder are complied with;
- Liaise with relevant government agencies such as DOSH, CIDB, KKM, local authorities, and all interested parties such as Project Client and consultant;
- Promote the safe conduct of work generally within the worksite via HSE programs;
- Inspect and rectify any unsafe acts and unsafe conditions at the workplace;
- Check sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with the Act and the regulations made thereunder;
- Assist Safety and Health Officer to carry out daily surveillance at the workplace/project with relevant checklist;
- Assist the Safety and Health Officer to investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational diseases which have happened in the place of work;
- Perform any other safety & health duties assigned by Superior/the Management from time to time.
- Applicants must possess at least a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health Management or Safety Certificate from approved authorities;
- Candidate must be a certified Site Safety Supervisor by DOSH (Previously known as Yellow Book Holder) ;
- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in Health and Safety. Experience in infrastructure projects is required for this position;
- Proven experience of Supervisory Skills will be an added advantage;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications;
- Required Skill(s): Occupational Safety & Health Management, Construction Management, etc.;
- Have the ability to demonstrate the application of risk assessment on company operations and activities;
- Must be willing to work in Perak;
- Able to start work on short notice is an added advantage;
- Work for 15 hours per week.
