As the AP& Credit Control Manager, you will be at the helm of overseeing cash management and payment processes. Your role is essential to ensuring smooth operations across client billing, collections, and compliance with financial regulations. You will collaborate with various teams, driving efficiency through automation and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Cash Management & Financial Monitoring: Youll be responsible for ensuring our daily cash management functions efficiently. This includes monitoring liquidity, managing bank accounts, and forecasting cash flow needs to ensure the business meets operational requirements without interruption. Process Automation & Efficiency: You will actively engage with the data and systems team to automate the payment and receipt allocation processes. This will help streamline financial operations, improving both accuracy and efficiency across departments. Accounts Receivable & Debt Collection: Managing aged debtors and overseeing the collection process will be a key part of your role. You will be responsible for building relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring timely payment and addressing outstanding invoices. Effective management of overdue payments, including legal action where necessary, will be part of the routine. Financial Controls & Compliance: You will ensure the effectiveness of finance controls within the company by documenting and evidencing compliance in line with company and SOX procedures. Managing regulatory audits and supporting internal control processes will also fall under your purview. Client Support & Billing: Onboarding new clients and setting up payment terms, you will also address any queries that arise regarding billing and payments. You will make sure all processes comply with internal and external policies, reducing risks for the company. Accounts Payable Management: A hands-on approach is required in managing the accounts payable process. You will be tasked with matching invoices to purchase orders, overseeing supplier payments, and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly. Bank Reconciliation & Reporting: Ensuring that bank reconciliations are completed regularly, you will investigate discrepancies and keep accurate financial records. Reporting will also include preparing aged debtor schedules and assisting in financial audits. Skills & Experience: Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in financial operations, particularly in accounts payable, receivable, and cash management. Qualifications: A third-level qualification is essential, with advanced qualifications in credit management or accounting being an added advantage. Skills: Expert in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Proven ability to improve processes and implement automation. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset. Knowledge of finance controls and regulatory compliance.
