Direct message the job poster from ASafe Global We are currently seeking a: Health & Safety Advisor with 1-2 years of experience in Health & Safety to join our team at our Ennis location in Ireland. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of on-site and remote work. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our EHS initiatives, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. The candidate will be supported by and will report directly to the ASafe Global Management Team. Key Responsibilities:
- Your roles and responsibilities are not limited to the below but also include supporting the team in all duties as needed by the Regional EHS manager.
- Create and uphold effective EHS programs, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace, providing recommendations for mitigation measures.
- Deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of EHS procedures, hazards, and best practices.
- Conduct incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Stay up to date with relevant EHS regulations and industry standards, ensuring timely compliance with any changes.
- Perform regular audits and inspections to identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits.
- Participate in EHS committees and engage with regulatory agencies as necessary.
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an EHS role (1-2 years), preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others.
- Willingness to travel between Cork and Ennis locations as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing EHS issues.
- Candidates must be based in Ennis, Limerick, or Cork or be willing to commute to the location.
