Job Title: Senior Governance & Risk Analyst Location: Dublin City Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Governance & Risk Analyst to join our client, a Global Specialised Insurance Group. This is a fixed-term contract based in Dublin City Centre, offering the opportunity to play a key role in enhancing underwriting governance, risk oversight, and regulatory compliance within a leading insurance business. Sitting within the Underwriting Governance & Excellence team, this role will focus on strengthening governance frameworks, controls, and regulatory compliance across underwriting operations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing oversight and strategic input to ensure underwriting processes meet industry best practices and regulatory standards. Your Role Leading underwriting governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Evaluating and enhancing controls, processes, and risk frameworks within underwriting. Overseeing the accuracy and integrity of underwriting data in internal systems. Monitoring market developments and regulatory changes, providing guidance to underwriters and leadership teams. Supporting internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and regulators as needed. Assisting in the development of risk modelling, pricing oversight, and underwriting controls. Collaborating with risk, compliance, and underwriting teams to drive best practices and process improvements. Preparing governance reports and recommendations for senior management and regulatory bodies. Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members within the governance function. Your Skills & Experience 5+ years' experience in a governance, risk, audit, or compliance role within insurance. Strong understanding of insurance processes, underwriting governance, and regulatory frameworks. Experience in risk management, internal controls, and compliance monitoring. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools for risk analysis and governance reporting. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. This is a full-time onsite role (5 days per week) in Dublin City Centre, providing the opportunity to make a significant impact within a market-leading insurance group.
