Job Description We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Sales professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests. As an Assistant Director of Catering & Events, you are responsible for overseeing day-to-day sales efforts of the Catering and Events department with specific responsibilities for directing sales, training, and maintaining systems in view of achieving the departmental and hotel targets. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

  1. Monitor Event production and adjust activities to achieve planned goals.
  2. Plan, establish goals, and administer Events Office function to deliver qualified leads.
  3. Develop active communication and close rapport with Rotana Sales Offices and other sources of sales/Events information & support.
  4. Maintain timely and responsive communication with all accounts and prospects.
  5. Handle all incoming group & banquet leads generated, jointly with the concerned sales division including all communication, negotiation, and contracting required.
  6. Assess group business to maximize contribution from available public space, generating room revenues whilst achieving banqueting budgets.
  7. Yield all leads prior to the offer letter being sent out, in terms of venue assigned or rates offered - especially in an area set up.
  8. Ensure that Sales and Catering PMS is well managed, maintained, and updated as per company policy & standards.
  9. Ensure all Groups & Events are handled as per the policy and company standards.
  10. Determine the discount rates & percentages, along with the Rev Res Managers and communicate negotiation currencies with all sales divisions.
Desired Candidate Profile You should hold a bachelor’s degree in sales and be computer literate with effective and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Company Industry
