The job role forms a key part of Group Credit by recommending new credit and extensions of credit facilities through analysis of financial documents and provides support to the UAE branches. Key accountabilities include credit review of mortgage loans. Core Responsibilities

  1. Develops proposals related to credit transactions and risks based on clients' financial information reviewed through related documents.
  2. Evaluates clients' credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk associated with the account and facilitate the decision-making process based on creditworthiness.
  3. Ensures that the credit documentation is complete for the purpose of facilitating the application process and ensures approvals are obtained from delegated authority.
  4. Manages the exception level (insufficient/deferred security documents and exception reports) efficiently and within specified standards and timelines.
  5. Ensures timely and accurate productivity reports are maintained and forwarded to the reporting manager on a timely basis.
  6. Ensures compliance with audit requirements and internal/external reporting obligations in line with policy guidelines to ensure high standards of uniformity and consistency across FAB. Adheres to policies, processes, and procedures of FAB along with Central Bank Regulations.

  1. Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
  2. Identifies training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
  3. Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency in all competencies and skills required to perform the role.
  4. Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through related trainings.
People
  1. Maintains professionalism and effective communication with colleagues within the unit and all other departments.
  2. Adheres to individual duties and responsibilities at all times.
Specific Accountability
  1. Analyzes clients' financial statements (bank statements and/or audited statements) and reviews clients' credit history to meet the bank's lending standards.
  2. Ensures completeness and correctness of documentation to avoid fraud.
  3. Minimizes risk by maintaining underwriting quality and ensures that the proposed amount is in line with bank policy.
  4. Highlights credit risks/mitigants and ensures deviations are captured as per policy while recommending proposals for approval to the line manager.
  5. Ensures all system checks are performed correctly and reviewed as per process.
  6. Ensures information is correctly reflected in CAS before changing the stage to the next level for approval.
Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Banking, or any related discipline.
  2. 3 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a similar role.
