- Provides design support to project team members which may include basic design plans, elevations, and details, reflected ceiling plans, power and communication plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish plans, color plans and schedules using BIM ( Revit ) platform.
- Can apply basic elements and principles of design including form, scale, color, texture, pattern, light, balance, and proportion.
- Assists in the preparation of presentation materials and renderings for client presentations.
- Adheres to firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.
- Assists with information gathering relative to programming analysis, bench marking, space plans and area calculations.
- Assists in the preparation of interior construction detailed design documents, including plans, details, sections, schedules and specifications.
- Assists with color/finish/material and furniture specifications research, selection and planning.
- Performs tasks according to the company Project Procedures Manual.
- Organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.
- Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, and legibility.
- Learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Essential Job Requirements:
- Professional Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related discipline
- 0-3 years with focus on BIM projects.
- Basic understanding of interior design theory, applications and detailed design documentation production
- Knowledge of CAD, BIM, 3D computer modeling using Revit, and graphic design
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, collaborative and professional work ethic
- Knowledge of international materials, construction techniques, and building codes is a plus.
- LEED accreditation is a plus.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, and project delivery.
- Familiarity with collaboration within BIM, including cloud-based markups, MEP/consultant coordination, and clash detection is a plus.
- Familiarity with real-time rendering, material creation, and management in BIM and parametric workflows is a plus
- Familiarity with real-time visualization development within the context of BIM, trade/ consultant coordination and clash detection are a plus.
