Credit Risk Assessment & Underwriting

  1. Assess the creditworthiness of HNWIs and UHNWIs based on their income sources, net worth, liquidity, and investment holdings.
  2. Evaluate collateral quality, including real estate, investment portfolios, and other assets, ensuring adequate security for loans.
  3. Calculate key risk metrics such as Loan-to-Value (LTV), Debt-to-Income (DTI), and leverage ratios.
  4. Prepare detailed credit memos for approval, highlighting risks, mitigants, and recommendations.
Risk Monitoring & Portfolio Management
  1. Continuously monitor existing credit exposures to detect early warning signs of financial distress.
  2. Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of market changes on client portfolios.
  3. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, Basel regulations, and local regulatory requirements.
  4. Maintain and update risk reporting dashboards for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  1. Work closely with Private Banking relationship managers, investment advisors, and legal teams to structure credit solutions tailored to client needs.
  2. Assist in structuring complex credit facilities, including collateralized lending and real estate financing.
  3. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary risk documentation and reports.
Policy & Framework Development
  1. Contribute to the development and refinement of private banking credit policies.
  2. Recommend improvements to risk models and underwriting processes to enhance risk-adjusted returns.
