Job Title

Lead Engineer - Mechanical Design

Job Scope

The Lead Engineer - Mechanical Design is responsible for designing and planning mechanical systems and associated equipment including HVAC, plumbing, fire systems and fuel systems. S/He designs & configures solutions as per client requirements.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Design, configure and customize solutions provided to clients as requested and validated by internal and external stakeholders;
Lead contractors in the design of new products/processes and improve/maintain existing ones;
Review and modify shop drawings prepared by subcontractors;
Prepare shop drawings for small projects once needed;
Verify all mechanical calculations (pipe sizes, duct sizes, firefighting, plumbing and draining, etc.);
Conduct a gap analysis for all technical issues such as but not limited to interfaces to other systems and new applications/modules recommending enhancements and solving complaints and inquiries;
Highlight inconsistencies through the implementation of different solutions and act while ensuring the company methodologies are well maintained;
Conduct upgrades exercises and implementations through best practices and design documentations;
Conduct User Acceptance Test with the client to ensure the successful delivery of the project tasks;
Ensure that electrical systems are being installed, tested and commissioned according to current industry and company standards and client requirements;
Create systems testing and commissioning reports;
Assist in pre-sales activities including presentations, demos, proposals and scoping;
Build strong relationships with manufacturers/suppliers.

Position Requirements

Strong technical skills including knowledge of mechanical related software
Up to date with the latest products/technologies
Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality
Good knowledge on international and local codes
A background in site work is preferred
Extensive experience in conducting value engineering for mechanical designs
Data center experience is a plus

Education

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

At least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
