Engineering Team Lead

Engineering Team Leader (Food/FMCG) Location: Corby Shift Pattern: Continental Shift – Days Only Salary: £56,000 per annum Are you an experienced Engineering Team Leader looking for your next challenge? The Role As an Engineering Team Leader , you’ll be responsible for overseeing the engineering department, ensuring efficient operations and minimising downtime. Reporting to the Engineering Manager , your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating the engineering team’s workload
• Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across machinery and equipment
• Overseeing health & safety compliance and managing contractors
• Undertaking mechanical and electrical tasks, including PLC fault finding, welding, fabrication, and fitting
• Identifying and sourcing necessary spare parts and equipment
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring key performance targets are met across quality, cost, and health & safety

What We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a time-served Engineering Team Leader with relevant engineering qualifications. You should have:

• Proven experience in supervising and managing engineering teams
• A background in heavy and light manufacturing equipment
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Experience in food packaging, plastics, or FMCG environments
• Knowledge of site production processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement techniques such as 5S
• The ability to conduct one-to-ones and appraisals effectively
