Women Deliver is seeking 2 Advisors to support the Women Deliver 2026 Conference. Location: Remote with the ability to accommodate different time zones with Women Deliver staff and consultants. Status: Consultant; March 1, 2025 – June 12, 2026 Rate: $6,800 – $7,400 USD per month Priority Deadline: February 14, 2025; applications will then be reviewed on a rolling basis. Preferred Start Date: March 1, 2025 Women Deliver is a global feminist advocacy organization with a clear mission: to ensure that every self-identifying girl and woman can exercise full control over her body and life. We believe sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are the cornerstone of bodily autonomy and have convened gender equality advocates from all levels of power for almost two decades to advance this cause.

Summary of the Position:

We are looking for a detail-oriented project advisor who embodies our feminist and social justice values to join the Conference & Convenings team. In this role, you will be critical to the success of the Women Deliver 2026 Conference, working with a team to develop the Conference programming, including plenaries, concurrent sessions, skills-building workshops, and side events. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized, with a keen eye for detail, and have the ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects at once. We seek a creative problem solver who is experienced in project management, external communication and coordination, and large-scale event execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the WD program teams and Conference leadership body, coordinating with sub-committees to determine programmatic and thematic priorities for the Conference agenda;
  • Ensure the Conference program contributes to the Conference goals and outcomes, the goals of WD’s Strategic Framework, and WD convenings principles of diversity, accessibility, and inclusion;
  • Oversee the planning, preparation, speaker prep, and logistics of assigned conference sessions;
  • Work with session moderators and speakers to align their content with the overall goals of the conference;
  • Research and communicate with potential and selected speakers;
  • Advise on program application processes including reviewing, sorting, and selection of sessions;
  • Develop and distribute detailed session guidelines to organizers, speakers, moderators, and venue staff;
  • Facilitate logistics for plenary speakers, coordinating with relevant logistical vendors and venue staff, including liaising with VIPs and VIP offices;
  • Suggest creative, new, innovative, and interactive program ideas to enhance the Conference agenda and to better achieve Conference objectives;
  • Coordinate with the Senior Advisor and event management team to ensure venue readiness, stage setup, and time management;
  • Prepare reports on the plenary sessions, including achievements, challenges, and recommendations;
  • Work with the Women Deliver communications team to develop a communication strategy to promote the program applications through the conference’s website, emails, and social media;
  • Coordinate the notification of successful and unsuccessful applicants and manage communication;
  • Advise on internal communication and coordination across the Women Deliver team regarding program application review and selection processes;
  • Create and maintain relevant Slack channels for internal communication, fostering effective information flows;
  • Work across various time zones with colleagues and Conference program organizers;
  • Other duties and projects assigned by the convenings team.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of related, progressively responsible work experience;
  • Experience in support of senior managers faced with the challenge of prioritizing their time in a complex, faced-paced environment;
  • Experience in event and conference program development and/or logistical management (in-person, hybrid, virtual) – ideally with international stakeholders or settings;
  • Experience working with speakers, VIPs, and/or government officials who require a high level of coordination and attention;
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written, experience with meeting facilitation a plus;
  • Familiarity with project management and relationship management systems such as Asana and Salesforce, among other programs/systems, essential;
  • Keen attention to detail; proficiency with productivity tools and an aptitude for learning new software and systems;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage tasks with frequently shifting priorities;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with diverse audiences, consultants, and organizations to ensure productive partnerships;
  • Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information;
  • Commitment to fostering an anti-racist and inclusive workplace required;
  • Experience in developing applications and/or review and selection processes preferred;
  • Ability to manage and maintain large amounts of data;
  • Experience working across time zones and different cultures and norms;
  • Ability to travel, internationally and domestically, as required;
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or French a plus.
