Role Overview We are seeking a UK based Data Protection Specialist to support our clients in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations, primarily within the UK, UAE and GCC regions. This role is essential in providing strategic advice, conducting assessments, and assisting clients in implementing effective data protection frameworks. Key Responsibilities
- Data Protection Assessments: Conduct audits, policy reviews, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Compliance Frameworks: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of data protection policies and frameworks.
- Virtual DPO Services: Provide ongoing compliance monitoring, advisory support, and incident management.
- Client Support: Assist clients with Subject Access Requests (SARs), data breach management, and other regulatory matters.
- Training & Awareness: Deliver training sessions on data protection best practices for clients.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies and assist clients with data protection inquiries.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that all compliance records, reports, and documentation are up-to-date and aligned with regulations.
- Proven experience in data protection, with a strong understanding of GDPR
- Arabic speaking data protection specialist with knowledge of the UAE’s PDPL is advantageous.
- Experience in data audits, risk assessments, and implementing compliance strategies.
- Ability to apply data protection laws to real-world business scenarios.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex data protection law and regulatory topics clearly.
- Experience in handling SARs, data breaches, and working with regulators is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent are beneficial but not required.

- The starting annual salary is £28,000.00 - £35,000.00, doe.
