Water Engineer

Mudgee, Blue Mountains & Central West NSW Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Water Engineer at Ulan Surface Operations (USO). Reporting to the Water Manager, you will work to support the safe and efficient dewatering of two underground operations and the surface operation CHPP. Responsibilities of the role include:

• Ensuring the water treatment plants operate efficiently and effectively to ensure adequate provision of process, irrigation, and potable water.
• Facilitating sufficient offsite discharge water to meet the site operational requirements.
• Optimising plant operation through a variety of operating environments as dictated by water quality and weather conditions.
• Assisting with identifying, designing and implementing operational improvements as well as capital projects.
• Leading the monitoring, reporting, and improvement of the site water infrastructure network.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• A Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical preferred) with 2+ years' experience in water treatment or 4+ years' experience in mineral processing; or
• An operator/trade background with 10+ years' of water treatment experience including RO operation and significant experience with project planning, technical design, and documentation.
