About the Role (your why) As Business Development Executive, you’ll represent Datacom to a broad range of customers, both Government and Corporate, promoting service offerings and developing new business opportunities. Key to your success is your ability to be innovative and creative in ensuring targets are met or exceeded by selling Datacom service offerings including managed services, application development services, cloud services and infrastructure services and solutions. Your strong knowledge of Perth’s unique market and your proven experience working with Government agencies and Corporate customers will ensure you’re a high achiever in this role. Your success will also be ensured by your proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and vendors. This is a Perth based role. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. What you’ll bring We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive with at least 8+ years’ sales experience working within the Perth market. You will be a self-motivated, driven, and a results-orientated team player with a successful track record in sales. Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Solid understanding of the Perth market with a substantial network
  • Understanding of a broad range of IT services with the technical nous to pick up new offerings
  • Proven ability to manage long sales cycles including RFP responses, working with Datacom’s pre-sales team, line-of-business owners and solution architects
  • Ability to absorb, apply and communicate technical information to a diverse audience
  • Excellent customer and vendor relationship building and management skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Experience in using Salesforce as the sales CRM for tracking opportunity progression through the sales cycle.
